Turo App Feature Alert: Early Trip Rating 2025.03.03

Turo Guests and Hosts can rate a trip as early as two hours before the end of trip! 🤌🏾🤌🏾

My guest returned a car early today—approximately 20 minutes before the scheduled return time of 12:00 noon. Moments later, she rated the trip, and I got the notification. Confused, I realized my guest had rated their trip before noon. That’s interesting and new. Hosts and guests usually don’t see the “Rate trip” button until after the end trip time has arrived.

With another car coming back at 2:30 PM today, I snapped some iPhone screenshots. (Originally, the button was visible within 1 hour and 56 minutes, but I didn’t grab the screen shot at that moment). That's very cool.

The second photo is a screenshot from my notification screen. Notice the trip ends at 1430. In the other notification, you'll see my guest has already rated their trip - 21 minutes before I screenshot.

Big fan of early ratings

Hopefully, it's going to help our guests remember to rate their trips. Something guests might not be aware: Turo counts unrated trips as a negative performance metric for our host quality assurance All-Star Host scoring.

In short, a no-rating is equal to zero out of five stars. Remember this when you really, really don’t feel like whipping out the app again or logging in. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time.

There are a lot of things hosts know that guests don’t about Turo, and I’ll share very soon. Lock-in with your subscription and look out for more guest experience enhancement from a host.
